Incorporation into Plot
The park is first entered by the player in what is, without a doubt, an improved remake of the scenario from the original game in which 8 pages are randomly scattered around in 10 sites, and you must collect them all to proceed to the next chapter. It can be assumed that the staff that run the park are aware of Slender Man because the phamplet for the park on the building you start next to states that formal attire, including dark suits like Slender Man's, are discouraged.
It's likely that another area of the park was the setting for Slender: The Eight Pages, as the radio tower can be seen in the background of the "Genesis" mission.
- In one of the loading screens, it is stated that Oakside Park was established as a trading post along the foot of the Rocky Mountains . This, along with CR's license plate in the level Homestead, must mean that it resides in Alberta, Canada.
- This is also most likely a homage to Blue Isle Studios, the developers of the game, who are headquartered in Toronto, Canada.
