Dr. James Anderson is a mentioned-only character in the Slender: The Arrival chapter, Nightmare.
Role In Plot[]
He was the psychiatrist of Charles Matheson, Sr. at the hospital where he was institutionalized, and is believed to have contracted a sickness from him. He recorded in his notes having discovered an "unidentified black, fibrous substance" in Charles's blood and sent it to an external lab for analysis.
Sometime later, he was killed by either by Slender Man or Charlie Matheson Jr., resulting in his colleagues spreading rumors around the circumstances of his death.
Trivia[]
- It is possible his body was disposed of in plastic garbage bags scattered around the hospital. This is a reference to the Original Mythos, in which limbs of Slender Man's victims were found in garbage bags.
- It is also possible CR was another one of his patients. He mentions in his notes he was working on a breakthrough medication for severe cases of depression and anxiety, that resulted in unexpected side effects such as hallucinations of Slender Man.
