Birdwatcher is the name which is used to refer to the protagonist of Clear Lakes 44.
History[]
Birdwatcher first appears during Broadcast #3, where he is shown watching birds on his television. We see him in later broadcasts trying to birdwatch from his windows too.
Throughout the series he also is seen limping and using a cane to walk and he is shown to be probably affected by agoraphobia and high levels of stress to the point of needed sleeping pills. Some past trauma, probably linked to the girl his doctor mentions in Broadcast #9, is behind his current condition.
It looks like Clear Lakes Communications is monitoring him and he also comes into contact with an unknown humanoid entity that seems to help with his leg, a television anomaly that incapacitates him and the character of Walker himself when he takes refuge in Birdwatcher's house.
