As many of the community are well aware, Adam Rosner (known famously in the Slender Man ARG circles for creating TribeTwelve) has been accused of child grooming (or at least "attempted child grooming") and being a pedophile. As the head admin of the Slender Man wiki, this information is both alarming and rather disappointing to hear. TribeTwelve has sadly been one of the better ARG's involving Slender Man. While MarbleHornets may have always been my favorite, I would argue TT has been a close second if due to the interesting plot and unusual visuals. Having a reveal about the creator like this is saddening.
That said, I have currently been unable to find conclusive evidence regarding the allegations. A lot of this seems to stem from Mr. Rosner completely deleting his social media accounts and removing any comments he has ever made, and nobody posting their sources regarding these allegations. In other words: I am willing to believe that this is indeed potentially true, but want surefire evidence before making any significant judgments as to how we proceed on the wiki. It certainly looks guilty with him deleting all of the posts, but as I never got to see them, I can't assure any of this evidence existed. It is entirely reasonable to believe he deleted the accounts out of panic and confusion when accused just as it is reasonable to assume he did so to hide evidence.
This is not a defense of Mr. Rosner himself. If he is guilty, then decisions will be made regarding how to conduct content regarding him on the wiki. That said, I do believe in the doctrine of "innocent until proven guilty", and just because a lot of people are repeating the phrases "pedophile" and "groomer" doesn't mean these allegations go beyond a reasonable doubt. If you do have sources and proof, please post appropriate links in response to this and help me find proof regarding his guilt (or innocence if you have legitimate proof this is a hoax). Behavior like this should not be tolerated and it is our belief that this kind of behavior has no place in the Slender Man mythos, but before I pillory a man and metaphorically stone him to death with my words and actions, I just want to be sure he is completely guilty of that he has been accused of.
EDIT: I shouldn't have to preface this, but it seems I do. I am not defending Adam Rosner nor his actions. All I want is the burden of proof passed to know he is indeed guilty of the claims, and many of the Reddit and Discord posts I see on the topic reference a single Twitlonger which I haven't been able to verify and everybody has accepted as gospel.
In May of 2019, Youtuber Jared Knabenbauer (better known as Projared) was accused of soliciting sexual images of minors in exchange for his own. Proof was found that he was soliciting nude photographs, and immediately the internet attacked him. Numerous videos discussing the topic were posted to Youtube, the comments section of his videos became a disaster of anti-Jared hatred, and he lost his connection with Normal Boots (an entertainment company founded by Jon Jafari or "Jontron" and Austin Hargrave or "PeanutButterGamer". The situation was mixed in regarding Jared's marital strife and he quickly went radio silent which everyone took as an admission of guilt.
Before August of the same year, Jared made a video titled "YOU'VE BEEN LIED TO". He has since taken it down to move on from the controversy, but it has been reuploaded to Youtube by others. The video has Jared explain his absence was to speak with legal experts on how to approach the situation, and to gather evidence in the meantime. When he posted the video, he then went on to explain that the posts made by the two who attacked him were partially faked. That yes he had talked to them and yes he had solicited nudes, but he had never solicited nudes from them as he was aware they were minors and thus never brought up sexual discussion at all. Over the course of his 45+ minute video, he systematically debunked the allegations against him regarding trading sexual images with minors, pointing out that he only ever did this with adults who verified they were legal adults to him and he asked them about it before doing so. What sounded like a child predator turned out to be a man who was doing something entirely legal. It wasn't a healthy thing to be doing and Jared probably shouldn't have been doing it, but it was between consenting adults and Jared never performed the allegations listed against him regarding the sexually explicit photos to and from minors. Suddenly, how funny it was that those who condemned him in cancel culture began deleting their posts and videos regarding Jared.
In 2018, a youtuber named "Spoctor" was accused by two youtubers of attempting to groom a minor. The entire situation exploded, and this 17-year-old was attacked across his social media and youtube platform regarding these allegation. Suddenly, one youtuber comes up named Ponder Sprocket and begins debunking the claims, and now all-of-the-sudden people turn on those who made the claims, revealing that they have been setting up Spoctor, deceptively wording posts, cropping posts to remove context, and lying. Then, when their friend handed over control of the Discord to another user named PKRussel. He, in turn, did a reveal on the posts made by those responsible for the controversy and explained the person who turned the Discord over to him did so out of guilt and anger, and revealed the entire controversy with all of these hidden posts. Spoctor was exhonerated, the two responsible fled the internet, and all of these anti-Spoctor videos were suddenly taken down almost like jumping on the bandwagon before you get all the details can be embarassing and dangerous.
My point is not to jump to conclusions before I have all the evidence. I certainly do believe that his is likely more guilty than not right now, but all I have is a single twitlonger and multiple imgur photos that claim to be fact. I haven't been able to verify the validity of these posts yet. If they are real, then in a short time we will have this proof, but right now we don't and people on Reddit, Discord, and others have been trying to assure the validity but none have been certain that they're real with at least a theoretical 80% accuracy ("way more likely yes" than just "mostly yes"). I'm not calling the poor girl who posted the twitlonger a liar either, my goal is to just be sure this isn't a repeat of cancel culture overreacting like with Projared. So many people believed those kids involved who claimed Jared solicited them, and then when Jared fired back with his proof, they just up and deleted their social media accounts and left the internet. It was suspicious when Rosner did it, and it was suspicious when they did it.
I am only defending the doctrine of "Innocent until proven guilty", and want to make sure I give a fair shake to the idea that there is more here than we currently know. The debacle is only four days old at time of posting (roughly), so I'm sure more evidence will come out, and once it becomes too likely that Rosner is guilty without a doubt, then we will do something regarding that. Until then, if you're going to claim I'm "defending him", then give me some evidence that he's guilty like I asked. All I want is proof. I want to make sure that he is guilty.
